Fancy Pants

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet, as I've got a laundry list of household chores to complete (you didn't see that rhyme a-comin, did you??)!

My pants might be glam, but my life sure ain't. Alas.

B!*ch Stole My Look!

So I have to make a confession. I took this entire look, from the accessories to the hairstyle, from my good friend Jess. It just so happens that we wear the same size shoe and oftentimes the same size clothes. We've taken to shopping in each other's closets for special events rather than throwing down some serious cash for outfits that will rarely see the light of day. I'm still trying to shake the baby weight (I know I keep mentioning this, but I feel it's important to be honest about it for all of those other mommas out there experiencing the same). I actually saw an article today about how Gwyneth Paltrow's trainer whipped her into shape after her 2nd baby. The trainer was like, "She was 35 pounds overweight and had a long butt. Thankfully I was able to help her." What!??! Ugh. It made me feel nauseated. I'm sure that long butt and problem outer thighs were really a matter of critical importance. Anyhow, I digress. Thanks Jess for once for outfitting me for free!

Just Peachy

Um.

Yeah, it's been a while. I don't even want to look at the date of my last post and see how long it's been. These pictures are from April so that's probably telling.

It's July in San Francisco, which means my winter wardrobe is in full force. I suppose for my readers in the Southern Hemisphere that works out just fine! I'm really truly going to try to post more often, and I'll do my best to post some summery outfits, if and when the weather allows! I've got a trip to NYC on the horizon, so hopefully something fabulous will come out of that. I've got to fit a wardrobe for both Alaska and NY into one suitcase, so that will be interesting. Any tips??

Hope you all are doing well and enjoying a lovely summer (or winter, for some)!

Until next time (hopefully sooner rather than later)....

Push Pop

The spring season is all about brights. And black and white. Oh, and PS, emerald green is the color of the year. WHAT?!? Seriously, I love fashion and I love shopping, but I'm tired of the fashion world trying to market concepts each season. Black and white, really? Is that novel? Groundbreaking? Who among us does not wear our fair share of black and white? Well, anyway, I love brights and even though I resemble a push pop in this outfit, I couldn't resist. The best part is that I've had all of the pieces for a while now. I have all of zero time to shop these days, so I have to make do with what's already in my closet. These shoes are from 2005, which just goes to show that fashion goes in cycles. I'm not saying keep your entire wardrobe from, ahem, high school, but sometimes it's worth hanging onto outdated styles.
