Band of Horses

Yesterday Aaron and I took the day off work, solely with the intent of catching up on sleep and spending some time together sans Sylvie. My work schedule has been insane, and we are still recovering from a fun few weeks in which Sylvie was waking hourly throughout the night. We ended up catching up on rest, enjoying some seriously good eats at Brenda's Soul Food, and then squeezing in a massage before picking up the critter from daycare. Glorious, I tell you!

I threw on this outfit without the intention of blogging, but then decided, what the hell? Why not? I have so little free time these days, I may as well capitalize when I do!

I've had this shirt for several years but due to a less-than-perfect fit, I haven't worn it much until recently. I think that perhaps, for better or for worse, I've become less concerned with my clothes always being snug and fitting just so. Maybe it's because I'm still trying to shake the end of the baby weight, and nothing looks that spectacular anyhow! All you mommas out there can probably relate!

It's My Birthday and I'll Blog if I Want To

Oh, hi, hello there. Remember me? The girl who used to blog? Let me tell you a little about that girl. She had a baby and bought a house, see. Life got kind of crazy, in the best way possible, but it has temporarily rendered her too busy to get to a computer outside of working hours.

She continues to blog, all the time, albeit in her head. She thinks of outfits, and she thinks of you. Sometimes she even goes so far as wearing nice things, and taking a camera with her to work. Alas, that's as far as it usually goes. But if any day of the year is a day to wear something fun and write a blog post, isn't it on one's birthday?

The Dachshund's in the Details

I'm really disappointed--I loved this outfit, but forgot to take my camera to work. So we ended up using an awful camera, which neither shows the details of my dress, nor does it do any sort of justice to anything I'm wearing. The dress is covered in dogs, so I thought I'd bring along a book of one of my favorite dogs on the planet, Boo. Have you heard of Boo? Oh man, google him. You won't regret it!
